Special Issue on: “Advances in Soft Computing Techniques for Image Processing”

[International Journal of Computer Vision and Robotics — IJCVR], published by Inderscience Publishers Ltd.

Computational techniques have found significant use in practical applications, especially in image processing. Most of the computing techniques are advantageous but significant drawbacks exist in these approaches. Some computational techniques possess high accuracy but are computationally inefficient. On the other hand, several techniques are computationally efficient but lack accuracy. These drawbacks prevent the application of such computational techniques for real-time analysis.

This special issue will focus on overcoming the drawbacks of these computational approaches. This issue will also place emphasis on hybrid techniques which can achieve high accuracy with quick convergence. This issue will additionally concentrate on the application of such proposed techniques for real-time applications. Thus, the issue will serve as a forum for presenting solutions to existing computational problems.
