Scope of the workshop
=====================
In its seventh edition, the TMA workshop broadens its scope to all
the aspects related to network measurements, covering the entire
network stack up to the application layer, with special emphasis on
the measurement of cloud services, content distribution networks,
social networks, mobile applications and data centers, but also
including more traditional measurement topics, such as traffic
classification, anomaly detection, network performance evaluation and
traffic analysis.
As a true workshop, TMA welcomes early-stage research and
controversial works. TMA also plans to devote a session to works
dealing with the validation (or invalidation) of previous works and
the reproducibility of measurement experiments.
This year, a PhD school on traffic monitoring and analysis will take
place together with the TMA workshop. Accepted students will have the
chance to follow the TMA workshop free of charge and present their
ongoing work as a poster to TMA attendees. Students are also
encouraged to submit their work to the TMA workshop for publication.
Relevant topics

TMA 2015 welcomes works related to Internet traffic monitoring and
analysis, including:
– Measurements of data centers, virtualized systems and cloud-based
services
– Measurements of distributed systems, including content distribution
and P2P networks
– Application layer measurements, including web services, social
networks, mobile applications
– Traffic analysis, characterization, visualization and classification
– Anomaly detection
– Measurements of home, wireless and cellular networks
– Security and privacy in network measurement and analysis
– Network measurement and monitoring methods and techniques
– Network monitoring systems and distributed monitoring architectures
– Network performance evaluation, troubleshooting and topology
measurements
– Measurements of the Quality of Service and Quality of Experience
– Measurement based experiments: repeatability tests, shared datasets,
collaborative platforms

Author notification: January 23, 2015
Camera ready: February 6, 2015

Submission guidelines
=====================
Submissions must not exceed 14 pages (8.5″x11″), including figures,
tables, and references, using the LNCS format. We recommend using the
LNCS users’ guide to format your paper. Papers that exceed the 14
pages limitation will not be reviewed. Accepted papers will be
published in a volume of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS)
series by Springer Verlag.
