Conference Overview

Following the success of the previous conference, ICOCI2011, held in Bandung, Indonesia, the School of Computing from the College of Arts & Sciences UUM is pleased to announce the Fourth International Conference on Computing and Informatics 2013 (ICOCI 2013) which will be held from 28th-30th August 2013. In 2013, ICOCI will take place in the beautiful and exotic city of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia (the venue is to be updated shortly).

The conference theme is “Computing towards Developing Smart Community”. The concept of smart community presents an instrumented, integrated, and intelligent community. The changes in demographic trends have lead to smarter ways to manage and deliver resources and services in variety of domains such as knowledge management, environment, healthcare, education and transportation.

Hence, ICOCI 2013 welcomes any innovative ideas in the use of computing technologies to create new values and transform a community with a better vision of the future. Participants are expected from universities, research institutes, industries, private and government organizations, and professional societies from various countries around the world.

Authors are invited to submit complete, original and unpublished research papers to the International Conference on Computing and Informatics (ICOCI 2013) which may address theoretical, methodological or practical aspects related to computing and informatics and should revolve around the conference theme (papers not explicitly addressing the following theme are also welcomed).

Theme

” Computing towards Developing Smart Community ”

Publications/ Proceedings/ Indexing

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The secretariat will apply for ISI and Scopus indexing.

Journal Publication

Selected best papers from this conference can be considered for publication in the Journal of Information and Communication Technology (JICT). JICT, currently indexed by SCOPUS, covers all aspects of information and communication technology, its theories and applications. Authors must produce an extended version of the paper. The selected papers will be re-evaluated by the editorial board of JICT.
