Session description:
This special session deals with the concept of hybridization of communication and embedded system technologies for evolving applications such as Internet‐of‐Things (IoT), Device‐to‐Device and Machine‐to‐Machine communication and interfacing. The performance and efficiency of the present as well as future generations of communication, computing and information processing systems are largely dependent upon advances in both, hardware and software. Thus the synergetic advancements in communication and hardware embedded technologies are becoming critically significant.
The goal is to provide a platform for both, hardware and software researchers working in the areas of communication and embedded systems, to interact under one umbrella for further development of efficient and secure information processing technologies for IoT applications. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Hybridization of communication and embedded technologies
Internet‐of‐Things architectures
Wired and wireless communication for IoT applications
Device‐to‐Device/Machine‐to‐Machine interface and communication
Networking issues in IoT systems
Wireless Sensor Networks for IoT applications
Hardware for Secure Information Processing (SIP)
