Invitation

The first international conference of AGRICONTROL was held in

Wageningen in 2000. Its aim was to foster various modeling and

control aspects of agriculture and biological production around the

world. The second conference was held in Osijek in 2007. It

expanded the domain of agricultural control and automation

research and unifying production aspects toward information

guided science and engineering

The purpose of the third conference “AGRICONTROL 2010” is to

provide a forum for new approaches and emerging results in the

studies of agricultural production from all over the world. The

intent of the organizers is that attendees will exchange information

about not only control in bio-systems, environmental control,

automatic control, robotics and mechatronics in agricultural

production, but also instrumentation and sensing, information

technologies for precision agriculture, inspection for safety and

security of food and agricultural products food processing, and

ergonomics in agricultural operations. They will also be able to

share ideas, theories, techniques, challenges, and concerns with

peers and expand their professional networks worldwide.

To obtain fruitful results for all attendees, organizers desire that

presentations and papers include significant and original methods

or/and results in ongoing researches and new technologies. All

organizers also would like all attendees to enjoy beautiful Kyoto

where people can live ancient Japanese culture sightseeing 17

world cultural heritage site like the Golden Temple, the Silver

Temple, Kamigamo Shrine, and Nijo Castle. We expect attendees

to spend a memorable time in the ancient Japanese capital.
