**SCOPE**

The application of Data Science is opening new frontiers for advancing the field of healthcare across multiple aspects. Over the past years, Machine learning has been intensively utilized for a variety of prognostic and diagnostic tasks to assist the healthcare professionals. Equally important, Data Analytics is applied to help develop strategies for improving the quality of care and curbing costs. In this regard, data-driven insights are employed to benefit the healthcare domain for the purpose of health monitoring and assessment, care planning, and management of hospitals and health services. This special session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from diverse disciplines towards exploring practical applications of Data Science in the healthcare domain.
