CALL FOR PAPERS
AIM AND SCOPE OF THE WORKSHOP
The use of biometric measurements is acquiring paramount importance in
many security and medical applications, not only from the theoretical
point of view but also from the industrial perspective and practice.
This workshop aims to present and discuss various technological,
methodological and application issues in these areas, especially
concerning, but not limited to, advanced sensors, signal/image
processing techniques, patter recognition approaches, systems and
applications.
Papers are solicited on all aspects of biometric theory and practice
in biometric-based measurements and systems, specifically for security
and medical applications.
Details for the submission and all information concerning the
symposium can be found at the workshop web site at
http://bioms2013.di.unimi.it/. Acceptance/rejection will be emailed by
10 June 2013. The final manuscript is due by 30 June 2013.
Submission implies willingness to register at the conference, pay the
registration fee and present the paper in person. Papers will be
included in the proceedings only if at least one author will register
and pay the registration fee by 30 June 2013 (member and non-member
fees only are acceptable to this purpose) – no exceptions. Papers
included in the proceedings will also be included in the IEEE Xplore
digital library only if the paper will be presented in person at the
conference by one of the authors. If an author covers more than one
paper with her/his registration to guarantee inclusion in the
proceedings, she/he must pay a 50 US$ surcharge for each paper in
excess of one.
IMPORTANT DATES:
* 15 May 2013: submission of extended abstracts or draft papers
* 10 June 2013: acceptance/rejection notification
* 30 June 2013: final manuscript submission and registration
