Beyond the museum – representations of visual art in film and literary narratives.

This panel welcomes papers that explore narratives about visual art or artist narratives in which the work of art plays a prominent role. Papers may explore a range of perspectives, including, but not limited to: What discourses about visual artworks can be found in film or literary narratives? How are visual works of art represented in narrative? is the process of creating art describe or theorized; is there a reflection on intermediality? what is said about the work of art and its creator, the audience, the critics, the sponsors, the modes of distribution or circulation? who has access to art; what communities are created around the work of art?

Please use the “online proposal submission form” to submit a paper title, abstract of 50 words, and a paper proposal of max. 500 words by June 10.

NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED to submit a proposal – accepted Special session panelists must register and pay for the conference by October 1, 2016.
