Workshop on Evolutionary Hardware Optimization @ EvoSTAR

Event Dates

Apr 23, 2014 - Apr 25, 2014

Location

Granada, Spain

Submission Deadline

Nov 11, 2014

EvoStar comprises of five co-located conferences run each spring at different locations throughout Europe: EuroGP, EvoBIO, EvoCOP, EvoMUSART and EvoAPPLICATIONS. These events arose out of workshops originally developed by EvoNet, and they represent a continuity of research collaboration stretching back nearly 20 years.

In 2014, EvoStar will be hosted in Granada, Spain (** AND NOT BAEZA AS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED **), between the 23rd and 25th April 2014.

EvoHOT, formerly the “Workshop on Evolutionary Hardware Optimization”, is a track inside EvoAPPLICATIONS, the European Conference on the Applications of Evolutionary Computation. Since 2004, EvoHOT focuses on innovative heuristics, game theory and bio-inspired techniques (eg. EA, SA, AIS, NN, ants) applied to the Electronic Design Automation. Its goal is to show the latest developments; industrial experiences; successful attempts to evolve rather than design new solutions; hybridizations of traditional methodologies.

EvoHOT topics include, but are not limited to:

Analog circuit design

Automatic test pattern generation

Built-in self test

Evolutionary design of electronic circuits

Evolutionary hardware design methodologies

Evolutionary robotics

Evolvable hardware

Floorplanning

Hardware/Software co-design

Hybrid evolutionary/exact approach

Hardware accelerated methodologies

Logic synthesis

Routing

Test program generation

## PUBLICATION DETAILS

Accepted papers will appear in the proceedings of EvoStar, published in a volume of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science, which will be available at the Conference. Submissions must be original and not published elsewhere. The submissions will be peer reviewed by at least three members of the program committee. The authors of accepted papers will have to improve their paper on the basis of the reviewers comments and will be asked to send a camera ready version of their manuscripts. At least one author of each accepted work has to register for the conference and attend the conference and present the work. The reviewing process will be double-blind, please omit information about the authors in the submitted paper.

A selection of best papers presented in EvoHOT will be published in a Special Issue of the Journal of Electronic Testing edited by Springer (springer.com/engineering/circuits+&+systems/journal/10836)
