Scope of the workshop

The CVBMC workshop aims to bridge the gap between pattern recognition and ecological preservation. We address the challenges of deploying computer vision in natural environments, such as camouflage, occlusion, and fine-grained categorization. We invite research on robust architectures capable of handling unstructured data for species identification, behavioral tracking, and holistic ecosystem monitoring. Topics of interest include:

– Fine-grained species identification and classification

– Behavioral analysis and spatiotemporal tracking

– Habitat monitoring and remote sensing

– Biodiversity metrics and population estimation

– Deep learning for “long-tail” ecological distributions

– Case studies in terrestrial and underwater conservation
