AIMS AND SCOPE

The IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) has established

itself as the world’s premier conference in data mining. The conference

covers all aspects of data mining, including algorithms, software, systems,

and applications. In ICDM 2026, to be held in Shenyang, China, ICDM will

host an Applied Track in addition to the regular Research Track. A paper

should either be submitted to the Research Track or the Applied Track, but

not both.

TOPICS OF INTEREST (non-exhaustive)

– Deployed systems, industrial or academic, that implement novel

applications of data mining, data analytics, data science, and applied

machine learning in the real world.

– Interdisciplinary and novel applications of data mining, including

social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, climate

science, web, marketing, finance, precision medicine, health informatics,

and other domains.

– New datasets or benchmarks that promote research and evaluation in new

or existing data mining problems.

– Comprehensive experimental analysis of data mining and data science

algorithms, data structures, and systems that are of wide interest,

providing new fundamental insights into the strengths and weaknesses of

existing methods.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

– Up to 10 pages in IEEE 2-column format (bibliography and appendices

included). Submissions longer than 10 pages will be rejected without

review.
