Goals
Mobile phones, sensors, patients, hospitals, researchers, providers and organizations are nowadays, generating huge
amounts of healthcare data. The real challenge in healthcare systems is how to find, collect, analyze and manage
information to make people’s lives healthier and easier, by contributing not only to understand new diseases and
therapies but also to predict outcomes at earlier stages and make real-time decisions.
Nowadays, the further development of AI surprises researchers and academics. Due to the propagation of Covid19,
researchers, doctors and academics are trying to fully exploit the potential of these technologies to face the
pandemic and save people’s lives. These tools can revolutionize not only the infrastructure management system, but
also the lives of patients. They increase the efficiency and quality of medical interventions and reduce costs by
assisting doctors, speeding up the process of data analysis while ensuring proper and ethical use of data and
knowledge.
Scope and Interests
The primary goal of “Artificial Intelligence Applications in Healthcare” session is to share, discuss and exchange the
latest research, theories and applications of AI in healthcare. Authors are invited to submit original research papers,
which propose new methodologies, approaches and research directions that cover a variety of topics.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Proceedings
The Full Papers conference proceedings will be published by Innovation Systems and Technologies series, submitted for indexing in Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and the be published online and will not appear in the Springer volume).
