Dear Colleagues,
Due to popular demand and continued uncertainty over the possibility of holding an on-site conference in October 2022, the Organising Committee has decided that LingBaW 2022 will be held ONLINE instead. The date of the conference is still 13–14 October 2022. The conference fee has been reduced to 200 PLN (50 EUR). The abstract submission deadline has been extended until 15 August. The 9th meeting of Linguistics Beyond and Within – International Linguistics Conference in Lublin, organised by the Institute of Linguistics at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Poland, will be held ONLINE on 13–14 October 2022 on MS Teams. This year, the talks will be guided by the following leitmotif:
MODULAR INTERFACES AND EXTRA-SYSTEMIC PRESSURES IN LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS
As previously, we would like to invite scholars with innovative approaches to linguistics viewed from a range of intra- and interdisciplinary perspectives. We wish to encourage all linguists representing various theoretical models and practical applications to present their contributions during online sessions in the following research areas:
– theoretical linguistics: phonetics & phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax, corpus studies;
– applied linguistics: language teaching & language acquisition, pragmatics, discourse analysis, translation studies, socio- and psycholinguistics.
Each paper presentation will be scheduled for a 20-minute talk followed by a 10-minute discussion. The language of the conference is English.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstracts of no more than 400 words (including references) should be sent by 15 August 2022 in .doc or .docx format via EasyChair (use the link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lingbaw2022). It is expected that any paper presented at LingBaW 2022 is original and has not been previously presented or published.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by 5 September.
CONFERENCE FEE
The conference fee is 200 PLN (50 EUR).
PUBLICATION
The preliminary deadline for submission of completed papers is 31 January 2023. All submitted conference papers will be reviewed for inclusion in the LingBaW journal (for more information about the journal and the review process, visit https://czasopisma.kul.pl/LingBaW).
