INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS REGARDING PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS

Format Text should be typed on word processor MS WORD 2010 (or earlier version) or ODT or RTF in single line spacing (of 12 character spaces) using Times or Arial 12, text justified. Paper size: A4 (210mm x 297 mm), with clear margins as follows: top, left and right 25mm, bottom

38mm.

Title: Times New Roman, 14, bold, ranged left, please leave one line empty (14).

Name(s) of the author(s): Times New Roman 12, bold (ranged left), please write your first name and then your surname in capital letters (e.g. Paolo ROSSI), leave two lines empty (12).

Key words: Four (4) or five (5) key words on paper theme (Times New Roman 12, ranged left), leave two lines empty (12).

Summary: Times New Roman 12, justified. Summary shall be submitted in English and (optional) in your own language.

Headings: Times New Roman 12, Bold, ranged left

Full paper: The full paper should not exceed 16 pages including abstract, pictures, diagrams, references and appendices. The text should be delivered in MS WORD 2010 (or earlier version). Line drawings, Diagrams and Graphs, Tables, Formulae and Photographs may be made in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Corel or Photoshop, jpg-formats are preferable.

References: Bibliographical references should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the paper. The following sequence and punctuation should be used: Author’s last name, author’s initials, title of reference article, name of book or journal (or other), volume number, page numbers, publisher, city and year of publication, ISBN number (if available) In the text, the reference is to be giving in footnote, or by marks, or the author’s last name and the year of publication.

Biographical notes: A brief curriculum vitae (10-12 lines) would be welcome.

Publication rights

By submitting the full paper to the workshop organisers each author agrees to give the COST action C27 the right to publish his/her paper in the Final Conference COST C27 proceedings and to publish the paper on the COST-C27 web site without any compensation.

Publications

The full paper will be published consequently and will be shipped to all participants. In addition the papers will be posted on the COST C-27 web site (www.cost-c27.eu).

Deadlines

Summaries must be submitted until h. 24.00 0f 10th of January 2011.

Full papers to be submitted until h. 24.00 of 15th of February 2011.

Presentation of papers at the Conference

In all sessions of the Final Conference there is the possibility to make a PowerPoint presentation. For technical reasons for the papers that will be not submitted by the deadline will be not guaranteed to the speaker pc auxiliary

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS REGARDING PREPARATION OF POSTERS OF CASE STUDY

The poster should be set in vertical A1 format. The composition is free, nevertheless every poster should give the following common concise information of the case study:

Location, cognitive frame, features, peculiarities and relations with the minor deprived communities, legislative frame (rules, landscape, environmental and land use restrictions, planning processes).

The poster should encompass also a critical view, highlighting: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of the case study.

It is desirable that all posters contain the Cost logo and the text:

“COST Action C27 – Sustainable Development Policies for Minor Deprived Urban Communities Final Conference – Parma (Italy), February 22nd – 23th 2011”

Am extending summary and/or a short paper in word format, useful for the proceedings, should explain the poster.

Summaries must be submitted before January 10th, 2011 in order to prepare the final programme.

Posters must be printed and carried to the place of the Final Conference by the participants, or posted not later that February 15th, to the following address:
