Dialogues Transcending Time and Space of European Languages: Tradition and
Innovation in the French/German/Spanish Language Education and European Studies
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
In 1950s, the European languages education was started in Taiwan. After the
challenges of globalization in 1990s, reformation and transformation have become the
most important propositions in the 21st century European languages education in
Taiwan, and its future lies in the development of European culture education and
European studies in Taiwan. This conference is interested in developing future
perspectives for the development of European languages education and European
studies by focusing on the reformation of European languages education in Taiwan,
and its practice in classrooms. This conference will be organized around a series of
plenary speakers of a variety of disciplines, from Europe and East-Asia.
Contributions could address, but are not limited to, the following TOPICS.
1. Practice of European languages education and interdisciplinary studies
2. Asian discourses on the education of the French/German/Spanish language under
the impact of globalization
3. International network of European studies
4. Studies on the combination of professional training and the French/German/Spanish
language education
5. Comparative studies on Taiwanese and European languages and cultures
6. Other topics related to the goal of this conference
