30th Irish Signals and Systems Conference 2019

Monday 17 June – Tuesday 18 June 2019, Maynooth University, Ireland

Dear Colleague,

The 30th Irish Signals and Systems Conference, ISSC 2019, will be held in Maynooth, Ireland, on 17-18th June 2019 and hosted by Maynooth University. The conference is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE UK and Ireland Signal Processing Chapter and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society UK and Ireland and accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplore digital library subject to conference registration and IEEE requirements.

A PDF version of the call for papers may be viewed here.

Call for Papers

Over the past 30 years, ISSC has become the premier conference in Ireland addressing all aspects of signals and systems.

The conference attracts both national and international participation and provides an excellent forum for networking with academics, companies, researchers, and students working in the area. The conference programme will include oral and poster presentations (incorporating brief poster introductions), invited keynote talks from leading experts, industry stands, and prizes for Best Paper and Best Student Paper.

We invite academic and industrial researchers in the Electronic Engineering and Computer Science communities working with Signals and Systems to participate and submit contributions in areas that include, but are not restricted to, the following short list of topics:

Signal Processing

Control Systems

Modelling and System Identification

AI and Machine Learning

Data Analytics

Software and Hardware Implementation Architectures

Applications

Robotics, Intelligent Devices and Systems

Communications

Audio and Speech processing

Image and Video Processing

Biomedical Signals and Systems

Automation and Industry 4.0

Cyber Security

A longer list of topics is available on the conference topics page and this year we particularly welcome relevant submissions in the areas of Robotics, Intelligent Devices, and Communications.

Full details of the paper submission guidelines, including paper formatting guidelines and templates can be found at the guide for authors page.

The program committee will select high quality papers for oral and poster presentations based upon peer reviews that consider the technical merit, originality, and relevance to the conference. Brief industrial submissions are also welcome.

We also welcome submissions for special sessions on novel or emerging areas of research in signals and systems. Please contact the chair (issc2019@mu.ie) with your suggestions.
