The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is pleased to announce a call for abstracts for its second specialty conference on odor science. Topics include odor science, odor chemical forensics and source identification, field assessment methods, electronic sensing, odor sampling methods, odor policy and regulation, odor modeling, odor controls and mitigation, community impacts, and best practices.

The conference, which will be held at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, on May 1214, 2026, builds off the momentum gathered by the well-attended May 2024 Odor Management Conference in Toronto and previous A&WMA odor webinars.

The conference committee seeks to meet the needs of attendees through various ways, including:

Pre-conference webinar on odor science and measurement

Discussions on international perspectives in the field of odor management

Site visit to an olfactory laboratory and/or industrial location

Tabletop exhibition

Networking opportunities between presentations and during the reception

This specialty conference seeks to distinguish itself as an international meeting ground for industry, municipalities, regulators, consultants, academics, vendors, and attorneys who are responsible for managing and communicating odor concerns. Abstracts are being sought from both well-recognized experts as well as individuals who have demonstrated experience in the topical areas listed below. Abstracts should reflect original work and include new material that has not been previously published or presented.
