10-11 October 2016, Milan, Italy

Program Co-Chairs:

Andon Lazarov, Burgas Free University, Bulgaria

Dimitris Mitrakos, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

Naoki Shinohara, Kyoto University, Japan

General Chair:

Boris Shishkov, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences / IICREST, Bulgaria

General Information

ICTRS – the International Conference on Telecommunications and Remote Sensing, is a leading international discussion and knowledge dissemination forum that brings together Researchers and Practitioners interested in Telecommunications and Remote Sensing. In 2016, ICTRS will be held in Milan, Italy, following previous editions in Greece (Rhodes, 2015), Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (Luxembourg, 2014), The Netherlands (Noordwijkerhout, 2013) and Bulgaria (Sofia, 2012).

The conference is organized by the international institute IICREST and co-organized by ARSIT – the Association for Radio Systems and Intelligent Telecommunications and AUTH – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Cooperating organizations are: IMI – the BAS Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, CTIT – the U-Twente Centre for Telematics and Information Technology, and AMAKOTA Ltd.

ICTRS 2015 is organized under the auspices of URSI.

Goals and Topics

Providing a specialized forum to researchers and practitioners interested in telecommunications and remote sensing, ICTRS welcomes not only foundational contributions but also more application-oriented ones. Hence, the conference areas are organized in two tracks, namely Foundations Track and Applications Track. Particular areas of interest within each of the mentioned tracks, are: FOUNDATIONS TRACK: (i) Wireless Telecommunications and Networking; (ii) Electromagnetic Waves and Fields; (iii) Electronics and Photonics; (iv) Remote Sensing and Data Interpretation; (v) Context Awareness. APPLICATIONS TRACK: (vi) Green Radio Communications; (vii) Remote Sensing and Environment; (viii) Wireless Telecommunications and Military Applications; (ix) Remote Sensing and Defence; (x) Tele-Medicine Applications; (xi) Context Aware Mobility Solutions.
