Submission Deadline

Sep 30, 2012

Dear colleagues,

The following Special Issue will be published in Sensors

(http://www.mdpi.com/journal/sensors/, ISSN 1424-8220), and is now

open to receive submissions of full research papers and comprehensive

review articles for peer-review and possible publication:

Special Issue: Sensor-Based Technologies and Processes in Agriculture

and Forestry

Website: http://www.mdpi.com/si/sensors/agriculture_forestry/

Guest Editors: Prof. Dr. Gonzalo Pajares Martinsanz, Prof. Dr. Andrea

Peruzzi and Prof. Dr. Pablo Gonzalez-de-Santos

Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 September 2012

Topics of this Special Issue include, but not limited to, (Topics related to

Remote Sensing and Wireless Sensor Networks are excluded)

* Sensors for physical treatments

* Sensors for chemical analysis or application of chemical spraying

* Sensors for variable measurements

* Sensors for obtaining 3D structures, crop rows detection or plants

alignments.

* Sensors for autonomous or guided navigation and actuation

* Simulations of the above sensor technologies, methods and procedures

for data processing.

You may send your manuscript now or up until the deadline

Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be under

consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send

us their tentative title and short abstract by e-mail for approval to the

Editorial Office at sensors@mdpi.com.

This Special Issue will be fully open access. Open access (unlimited and

free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent

citations as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the

authors and their institutes. More information is available at

http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/. Article Processing Charges

(APC) are of 1600 CHF per accepted article. For details see:

http://www.mdpi.com/about/apc/.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript:

http://www.mdpi.com/journal/sensors/instructions/. Manuscripts should be

submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at

http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.

Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220) is the leading international, peer-reviewed

open access journal on the science and technology of sensors and

biosensors, and is published by MDPI online monthly. Papers published in

Sensors will receive high publicity since the journal is freely available online.

Sensors is covered by leading indexing services, including the Science

Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), Chemical Abstracts, INSPEC,

Scopus and CAB Abstracts, PubMed/MEDLINE. The most recent Impact

Factor for the year 2010 is 1.771.

MDPI publishes several peer-reviewed, open access journals listed at

http://www.mdpi.com/. The Editorial Board members, including several
