Special Session on Evolving Networks@DSAA2017 – The 4th IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics

Oct 2017, Tokyo, Japan

http://www.dslab.it.aoyama.ac.jp/dsaa2017/specialsessions/#EvolNet

Call for Papers:

When objects in the data are associated with relationships between themselves, the complexity of the data increases and so is the information gained from it. This complexity augments when these objects and relationships change over time. In view of that there are many open challenges in the context of scalable analytics of evolving networks calling the attention of researchers from Knowledge Discovery, Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence communities. This emerging topic will instigate many innovative data science solutions and move towards advanced analytics techniques. We expect heterogeneous proposals integrating fields such as graph stream mining, social networks analysis, distributed processing and predictive analysis in a changing and evolving milieu.

Topics of Interest:

This special session is intended to attract researchers who are actively engaged in theoretical, technical and application oriented aspects of Evolving networks. The topics include, but are not limited to the following:

Evolutionary network analysis

Social networks and social media

Graph data analytics

Sampling from evolving networks

Network data mining

Distributed network analysis and mining

Statistical techniques for network analysis and mining

Temporal and streaming networks

Predictive modeling on evolving networks

Change detection, anomaly detection

Incorporating network content in evolution analysis

Community detection in evolving networks
